You can see, you can hear, you can feel the tension that is very present in that hallway

at that barricade, but it's just so horrible that somebody had to die in that process.

Secret Service agents and any other law enforcement that were inside the Capitol at that time

were every one of them.

They were risking their lives trying to protect the seat of United States democracy.

Jim, it's very unusual. Here we are recording another episode very close to

recording our episode this week and that's for good reason.

Yeah and a very somber reason and one that obviously disturbs us both equally and even though

we may have very different points of view on the political spectrum at times, we agree on one thing

that violence and sedition are not good things and we need to when we have issues we need to

address them in appropriate manners. But let's just dive right into this.

The fact is that January 6th 2021 is going to be remembered in the United States history books

as the second time in the history of our country that our Capitol building was breached by people that

shouldn't have been in there and that it was a violent well a protest turned violent by some

certainly not all but those people who decided that they were going to break police barricade lines,

the barricade lines that have been set up by the national Capitol police around the building

and they were going to storm the exterior infrastructure, the place where shortly and in just a

couple of weeks there's going to be inauguration ceremonies for the new president and then a bunch
