Hello and welcome to episode number 210 of Real Life Ghost Stories, and kick things

0:29.8

off this week. I need to say thanks to some of our newest Patreon subscribers. I would like to

0:34.4

thank Jess H. Christopher Rayburn, Veronica Menesies, Amy Smart, Tracy Tucker, Glenn Clabo, Jane, Elijah

0:46.9

Burnett, Emily Rigby, Emily Campbell, Alexis Edwards, and Sophie. Thank you so much for subscribing to

0:54.8

the Patreon. I love you and appreciate you every single day. And there are a film review this week

1:00.4

as well as suggested by a listener in my call-out for underrated horror films. It is Triangle. Triangle

1:07.1

was released in 2009. It has 6.9 out of 10 on IMDB and 80% on Rotten Tomatoes. Five friends set

1:15.6

sale and their yacht is overturned by a strange and sudden storm. A mysterious ship arrives to

1:21.5

rescue them and what happens next cannot be explained. Now look, I think that I'm going to say

1:35.7

annoys you, I am sorry. I don't know if I just wasn't in the right frame of mind to watch this film,

1:44.0

but like, do I think it deserved 80% on Rotten Tomatoes? Absolutely not. Let's get into the likes,

1:50.8

which is admittedly a bit difficult because I felt like this film really warmed up towards the end.

1:57.3

And by the end, I was genuinely shocked and quite enthralled. For the most part in this film,

2:03.6

I thought the performances were generally kind of good and believable and I liked the general

2:09.6

storyline. It very much has coherence vibes in the way that it presents itself. So a couple of

2:16.1

weeks ago, I did a film review of the film coherence where I loved friends go to dinner parity and

2:20.0

weird stuff starts happening. This is very, very similar except more boaty, more lost at sea than

2:27.8

being in somebody's dining room. And from very early on in the film, you realize that strange

2:33.6

things are happening. Something is not right, but also the characters in the film realize that

2:38.6

something isn't right also. So you don't have a period of time where you as the audience are going,

2:43.1

oh my god, how can you not see what's happening? You kind of figure it out together as you go along,
