Summary

Ever since I can remember, my Dad and our friend Rich Meyer have spent time hunting together every year at some sort of hunting camp. I was lucky to have many great hunting mentors as a kid and along with my grandpas and dad I was also greatly influenced by the guys at camp. Before I was old enough to tag along with my dad and his friends, I couldn't wait for him to come home and tell me the stories of everything that happened on their trip. Eventually when I was 12 years old, I started tagging along with them on their annual deer and turkey hunting trips and couldn't wait for the next one. Over the years I learned a ton from those guys and I'll never forget the memories we made. In this episode, Doug, Rich, and I talk about some of our best stories from the days that we spent at camp and some of the things we learned hunting together. 0:05.6	lucky enough to spend part of the day with my dad and our good friend Rich Meyer. When
0:10.3	I was growing up, I was always interested in hunting, and I was always watching what
0:14.2	those guys were doing, trying to learn as much as I could from them. Both my dad and
0:18.8	Rich and all the guys that were a part of our hunting camp were really influential to me
0:24.1	and my friends. They helped get us into it, they helped keep us interested in it, and they
0:29.0	always just made us feel welcome. And in this podcast, we're going to be talking about
0:32.4	old stories from camp and just how much Sharon camped together meant to us. So I know
0:37.8	it's a day late, but Happy Father's Day to all the fathers out there. I talk a lot about
0:42.4	how much of an influence dad, Rich and the guys at camp had on me, but also would like
0:47.7	to thank both my grandpa's for helping me get into the outdoors. If it wasn't for all
0:52.2	those guys in my life, I wouldn't be as interested in it, and definitely wouldn't be sitting
