Summary

Sis… this one right here is not just a podcast, it’s a healing session. In this soul-stirring part two with the divine LaTonia Taylor, we went full Aunty Realness Mode. I hosted an “Ask Aunty” convo for the ladies who came to our Well-Kept Woman event and babyyyy—the spirit came through! 🕊️

We’re talkin’ the kind of wisdom you wish somebody had whispered in your ear years ago. LaTonia breaks down perimenopause, menopause, and why so many of us feel blindsided—because ain’t nobody talkin’ about it! From hormonal hell to hot (and cold!) flashes, from relationship sabotage to spiritual upgrades, this episode is a whole rite of passage in your earbuds.

We also get deep on:

✨ How to care for your mind and body during life’s transitions

💃🏾 Why pleasure, play, and polyester-free clothes are part of your healing

🧘🏽‍♀️ What meditation really looks like (hint: it might be dancing!)

👀 And yes girl—we even talk about losing a good man and what it taught us

If you’ve ever wished for that wise, loving Auntie who keeps it cute and keeps it real… this is the one. Don’t say I didn’t warn you!

All right, so we are back. This is part two. We got my fave, Auntie in the building, the Latanya Taylor. This conversation was actually inspired by an event that I had. I can't believe it's been what. It's November. So several months ago now at this point. But if y'all didn't know I have a nonprofit,

0:21.0

it's called For the Culture Foundation. And it's all about helping the black community by

0:25.7

healing the black family. And so we hosted a free event for that really turned into like a therapy

0:32.0

session, a live group therapy session. When you say the things that you do are spirit led, I'm very much so

0:39.7

what is meant to happen, who is meant to be here, what's meant to be said, that is what it will be.

0:44.7

And even though I do all the planning and I had a laundry list of questions, I don't think I got to one question that was on my cards.

0:51.3

Not only did I not get to one question that was on my cards, I had women write out questions and we didn't get to one of their questions because it was so full of just

0:59.0

what it needed to be filled with. It was amazing. The feedback that I got was people had never

1:05.8

experienced anything like that. I just, I saw the device set up in that. It was on an auspicious day.

1:13.4

It was, yeah. It was, it was all that it needed to be. However, I promised the ladies that I,

1:20.3

I mean, it's been several months. So I'll have to hit them up and say, come watch because we finally

1:24.2

got your question answered. But one of the things that I really wanted to do at this

1:27.8

event was an ask an auntie session because selfishly, I've told y'all, I didn't grow up with aunties.

1:35.7

I grew up with aunties, but I didn't grow up with aunties. I didn't grow up with aunties who were

1:40.2

open and, you know, transparent and sharing and mentoring and honest and, you know, sharing

1:47.5

with me what they wish somebody would have shared with them. And I just assume that other women

1:51.7

have, you know, other women have had that same experience where they may not naturally have

1:55.7

an auntie that they can call up and trust with their is. So I have questions here. These are not my questions, but these are questions from the ladies who their ish. So I have questions here.

2:01.4

These are not my questions, but these are questions from the ladies who attended the event.

2:04.8

So I want to get into some of them.

2:07.5

But the first one I thought was very fitting because we have had conversations offline about menopause,

2:14.4

paraminopause, the fact that these conversations are just not being had. And I feel like,
