Oh, Burnout, it is such a hot topic, right?

or perhaps you're not even sure. So I'm going to dive

into what it is and also some signs along the way that might help you identify

if you are in a state of burnout. We're going to talk about what we might be

individually contributing to and also what some external factors might be when it

comes to burnout and of course I want to explore the other side of it because there is another side.

So more specifically, what can we do to re-energize our lives so that we are living a bit more intentionally?

Okay, so first off, what is the exact definition of it?

And I got this from the World Health Organization website where they share,

Burnout is a syndrome conceptualized as resulting from chronic workplace stress that has not been successfully managed.

It's characterized by three dimensions. First, feelings of energy, depletion, or exhaustion.

Second, increased mental distance from one's job or feelings of negativism or cynicism

related to one's job.

And lastly, reduced professional efficacy. So with that

definition, yes, I think many of us have felt some energy depletion or feeling

distant from our job or not performing at 100% at all times,
