He's not a fitness guy. He is a fitness guy. It's kind of all wrapped in between, Like we say, it's all fitness and it's all not fitness. For you guys who don't know, Tommy, |
| 0:24.8 | he runs the Resistance Average Academy podcast, which is amazing. I've been on it before. If you guys do not subscribe to it, I would. It's on all the major platforms, iTunes, Spotify, Google Play, all the shit that you guys can listen to, it is there for you. |

| 0:38.8 | Tommy has been in fitness for a long time. We'll have him break that down a little bit more detail. He kind of does everything. He's like that guy. If you guys watch Martin, the TV show, like growing up as a kid, like Martin Lawrence, he's actually like Tommy from that show. I don't really know what the fuck he does for a living to make money, |
| 0:36.2 | but we're going to find out throughout this. |
| 0:38.5 | He kind of does a little bit of everything. So without further ado, welcome Tommy. Nice to have you here. Jeremy, my man. Thank you for that awesome intro and stoked to be here. So we're going to dig in to the 21 questions series here. Then we'll kind of talk about what Tommy does and kind of layer it in in between. So question number one, let's say this. I guess in fitness, let me just start this first before I get a background. You are in fitness. You've been in fitness. What is your background in fitness in general just so these guys get a kind of a lay of how you started and kind of what you're doing now. Yeah, spent a decade in fitness. |
| 1:29.0 | It's really one of my first passions. |
| 1:31.3 | Opened up a couple of gyms on the East Coast and transitioned online. |
| 1:34.8 | And I still have some fitness products, but now I really work with entrepreneurs and |
| 1:39.5 | solopreneurs and people who want to launch a business online to help them tap into their inner power, get clarity around the business, and then level up their profits. So he has a background in it. He's familiar with all the stuff. He's actually been, like some of the stuff we'll share you guys, like when we say worst workouts we've ever done, which will get into question one in the second. Like the triathlon, which I stole from Jim Jones. Tommy is a product of the Jim Jones. He's been through the triathlon himself. I want to say triathlon, just so you guys get the background. That is the 50 cows in the assault bike and the 500 meter ski in the 500 meter row. Sub five minutes is the goal if you can do it, which very few people can because it makes you sick as shit. So he's from that school of fitness. So when he says things, obviously he has the legs behind it to do it. So with that said. Not the arms, though. No, well. Not everyone can have the arms. No, you just do more curls. It's super simple. And most people listening, you guys do curls every day. I know I should say squat every day, but just please do |
| 2:34.3 | curls every day. Question one, worst workout you have ever done, or one of the worst |
| 2:39.1 | workouts you've ever done. Absolutely. Well, you alluded to it. So I landed in Salt Lake City |
| 2:43.6 | at Jim Jones's facility who trained the actors and actresses of the movie 300. I was jet lagged |
| 2:50.5 | on low sleep and they made us do a 2K |
| 2:53.6 | row. Within the first 250 meters, my mouth turned to chalk and it was the hardest 2K row I've |
| 3:00.2 | ever done. And since then, if there's one test, one mental, physical, spiritual test, it's the 2K |
| 3:05.5 | that I will do anything to avoid. I agree. I think the 2K is kind of like the standard of rowing. What is your 2K time, you know? 656. That sucks, man. Yeah, and for years, I was at 703, 704, and I literally couldn't get it until one day it just clicked. And Jim Jones, if you get anything above a seven, to them, you're essentially worthless. |
| 3:25.3 | So I was a fully certified trainer for them, but I wasn't able to actually claim that title until I got sub seven. I think I saw that too. And I think, so we do it here, and Jacob, our young dude, I think he's like 701. And it sounds like it's super close. and it i go but to have but to know how painful it is |
| 3:41.6 | to be at 701 and then have to like physically do it again is awful it's not that close when |
| 3:46.7 | every second when you do an out all-out effort and you give everything to it and you can barely |
| 3:51.4 | walk and you're still one second away and i say that for you guys to preface if you guys |
