Some would say that commuting to work is one of the biggest doldrums in life.

Traffic can be awful.

People can test your patience with either their road rage, tailgating, or their seemingly

general lack of know-how when it comes to driving.

Personally, I drive 13 miles to work

to and from my house, totaling to about 26 miles a day, and it's virtually the same route back and

forth, which I realize is not a lot in comparison to some of the other commutes people make,

but I'm just referring to mine for the time being. After five years at my job, I feel every single mile, though.

Honestly, I sometimes don't even remember the drive because I try to tune it out that I'm traveling to work yet again.

At this point, going the same route every day is straight muscle memory, and not much thought has to go into me getting to my

destination so I tend to get lost in thought during this time I go through quite a

few sections of Bucks County PA on this drive Levittown Festerville Trevos Southampton

and Worminster are all places that are on the list.

Making this drive twice a day, you begin to notice certain things even if it is mind-numbingly boring.

You'll recognize people and their cars going in the same direction as you every day,

different landmarks, and even stand-out houses that have certain attributes that stick out more than others. Specifically for me, every day for numerous years, I have gone past a house with a bright blue door.

I never thought too much of it except for the fact that this house stood out amongst the neighbors and it's something I noticed on a daily basis, even to this day.

Every once in a while, I would see an

older man going in and out of the house with long hair and a very distinct, grayish beard. It was

rare, but I would catch a glimpse of the presumed owner. Even rarer, I would see a girl. She was

young, younger than me, at least, but well into her teens.
