about six different things about that fast that were wrong.

They were not pleasing to God.

In fact, it was a foolish fast.

It was so foolish and it was dumb.

Okay?

So I just want to kind of bring that in.

I know that we're on a 17th day,

and for a lot of you, it's your second day, third day,

six day, seven day, so whichever day

that you are watching this in, I just want to kind of bring a slight realignment to our

fasting and to the idea of fasting by addressing a wrong way of fasting. In 1st Samuel, chapter 14 and

verse 24, it says the following following and the men of Israel were distressed

that day for Saul had placed them under an oath saying cursed is the man who eats any food

until evening before I have taken vengeance on my enemies.

So none of the people tasted food.

Now, King Saul places a necessary ban and a curse on his army for avenging his enemies.

He actually makes them to fast. He makes them to abstain from food. And this was a

foolish fasting. Somebody dropped it in the chat. Foolish fasting.

Now let's look at the six signs or six reasons why this kind of a fast is dumb.

Foolish. Not only it doesn't bring any fruit, it's actually completely stupid.

All right.

Now none of us, I believe, are fasting this way, but we just still need to highlight that.
