Not a single one of them.

Your average British bird is orders of magnitude more likely to be killed by flying

into a building, a car or being eaten by a

domesticated cat. But first, the decision in the last budget to cut winter fuel allowances

for around 9 million pensioners has been controversial ever since it was announced, and it was

felt to have been a big issue for voters in the English local elections earlier this month.

With the political pressure failing to abate, the Prime Minister came to the Commons to signal a change of heart.

The chance to make his announcement was provided for him right at the start of question time

by the Labour MP for Luton North, Sarah Owen.

Many pensioners are still impacted by the cost of living crisis.

People in Luton who have worked hard all their lives, seeing their precious savings slip away.

So can the Prime Minister tell us what measures he will take to help struggling pensioners in town like mine.
