it's a horrible day here right enough but I'm good to go excited excited to be here.

Yeah too hot I've had to come in. Oh, it's terrible here.

So Chris, you've come out with a football book. It's called You're better than that, how it affects

modern football. Do you want to just

summarize for the listeners how the book came about and what it's about? Well as a

former footballer I suppose it it may be a surprise to many that footballers can actually

right and know it's something I've been doing a radio showdown south the big the big football phone in called 606 on a Saturday

the evening and that's where the catch raise from the book, you're better than that came from with my co-host Ali Bruce Ball.

We have a game called the simulation game and we've been calling out the divers and the

cheeks players who go down too easily and we play little clips of commentary footage and

there's been loads of players who have died up north and down south north of

the border you know that I suppose the likes of Marilla.

I think Alan McGregor in fairness dived as well,

to balance up earlier on last season, but down south,

you know, the likes of Harry Kane moseala they're all that so what we do which we're trying to stop the diving in the game and and my catchphrase is we play the clip and I say you're better than that Harry Kane come on and

and that's where the title of the book came from but it's I mean the book is a wide variety of subjects within the game and we all have a common interest.

We all absolutely love football, adore football. It's the best sport in the world but there are so many issues within the

game which no doubt need sorting out and and as you probably well know I do like

to have a rant and a rave and a moan at things.
