Hey there. I'm so glad you are joining me today. I cannot tell you how excited I am to bring you

this podcast episode today. I know we're in late October and I know that maybe if you're

listening to this in real time, the garden isn't really high on your priority list at the moment.

But this is the time of year where we actually have the space to be able to think through

what we want our gardens next year to be, a place to be able to brainstorm and imagine the

possibilities. And this episode is going to help us do just that. You may recognize the guest

Nicole Burke. She has been on the podcast before. We were

actually talking about gardening in the heat, but today we're going to be talking about her

specialty, which is kitchen gardening. What I love about this subject is that it makes

gardening accessible to the beginner, to those who don't have a whole lot of space, to those who don't

have a lot of time, as Nicole and I will talk about on the episode. And to me, this makes this a

perfect episode to be able to talk, especially to those of you who find yourself fitting into

one of those categories. But if you don't, and you have a larger garden space like I do, don't discount the

kitchen garden. It has been my pride and joy and my delight over the past couple of years. And so even

if you do have a large garden space, I recommend taking notes and considering how you can bring

the kitchen garden into your garden task list. Because it's really not a

task list. It's an enjoyable way that you can add to your garden. Now, this is an episode that's going to have
