Summary

This week I am starting a new series on Resilience - a subject which seems to be on everyone's mind right. The question is not how do we keep going when the going gets really tough, the question is how do we make ourselves feel better, have more energy, more joy and live our lives to the fullest so that we don't end up burnt out in the first place. As soon as I started recording I realized that this is not just one conversation, this is multiple conversations, so this is the first installment! I hope you enjoy it and that it gives you the tactics you need, that you can take to work, to your families, to your friends so you can show up to life. -- Have you heard about the HOTLINE yet? Call (737) 400-HOCO, and press 1 to leave a question for Rach. Press 2 to share your story about the Hollis Company - it can be about your Start Today Journal, attending a RISE conference, coaching, or anything you want! We can't wait to hear from you ;) RISE Women’s Conference is about taking full ownership of your life and the woman you want to become. This is not an experience for you to transform into someone else, this is three full days of immersion to remind yourself how special you already are! At RISE we don’t believe there’s one right way to be a woman, we believe in women being as diverse and original as possible. Each and every one of us has incredible talent and skills — our own unique potential to offer the world — but as little girls, we’re taught to conform, be small, fit into someone else’s ideal of what a “good girl” is. RISE is about redefining the best version of yourself and creating a roadmap to help you become her. Get your tickets here! Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices

0:35.0

But when I started to dig into this topic of resilience, it just sort of exploded in

0:40.6

my mind and in my heart and became something much bigger.

0:45.0

The question that I started to ask myself was not how can we as human beings learn to

0:51.6

be stronger?

0:53.2

How can we as human beings learn to have more willpower and learn to push harder?

0:57.6

The question that I want to talk about or the thing that I want to unpack when it comes

1:02.3

to resilience is how do we make ourselves feel better?

1:07.2

Have more energy, have more vitality, have more joy, be deeply entrenched in our purpose

1:14.9

so that we don't get burned out in the first place.

1:18.8

How do we find not just resilience but energy and joy for the process?

1:25.6

While I started this talking about what I thought was going to be sort of a wrapped up

1:31.5

in a bow conversation, I quickly realized as I was digging into just the first foundational

1:37.9

piece that this is a multi-part conversation.

1:42.8

So today is my first installment of how to be resilient through the lens of something

1:54.2

much bigger.
