The topic today is for you single women who want to be married. I know

there is a wide swath of women out here who are in this category and the age span is

quite large as well from young 20s to 50s.

So here are a few principles for you.

Remember, all the promises of scripture are for you,

whether you are married or unmarried.

Live in terms of the covenant promises and providence of God.

He is good. He is not forgotten you.

He will never leave you or forsake you. You are a Christian, so be a fruitful, joyful one.

Find your skill set and use it to the glory of God. Don't isolate yourself and then wish you knew more people.

Be friendly and hospitable.

Don't be stuck in your own age group of unmarried women, whatever your age.

Branch out.

Get to know families and make yourself participate in fellowship opportunities even if it is hard to go alone.

Or invite someone to come along.

Engage with the married women and be interested in their lives.

Don't make all your relationships about your longing for a husband.

Your identity is in Christ, not in your singleness.

There are plenty of challenges living alone, and I want to address a few of these when you're unmarried and then you want to work on overcoming these challenges as far it is possible for you. Do you feel uncomfortable in large

groups of married folks? Well then pray for God to sanctify that area of your life and

lean into it. You want to be growing and maturing in Christ so that you are a well
