Hello and welcome to episode 209 of what most people think.

And part of the reason I might have fucked up the very intro there

was because I was out clubbing on Sunday.

I did a bit of daytime raving.

I should say that I was in bed by midnight.

But I got to tell you, I'm recording this Tuesday morning. Emerging on a Monday with a hangover is a very, I felt every second of my 46 years. And thank God today I've got a safe pair of hands co-hosting. It's a return of Matt Ford. Welcome back to the show, Matt. Thank you, Jeff. It's a pleasure to be back. So where did you go clubbing? So Brighton on the beach event. So my favourite DJ of all time and producer Eric Prids was playing. Oh, brilliant. It was amazing. I mean, he played all the hits. And there is this weird thing now, because also the Who were playing in Brighton. But Eric Prids has sort of been around long enough. I'm sort of thinking, in 20 years, well, what he's doing be the equivalent of these sad old bastards going to see The Who. Hang on. I went to see The Who the other week. I'm not a sad old bastard. It was brilliant. You're a sad young bastard. I know what? Firstly, I love Eric Pridz My favourite Eric Prid's, is it piano? Is that how it's pronounced? Yes, yeah. We use that at Forrest a little bit in the pre-match buildup, and it creates a really good atmosphere. But secondly, I saw The Who for the first time ever the other week at the O2, and it's one of the best gigs I've ever been to for their performance. The atmosphere at the O2 I think is routinely awful. But my God,

Daltry can still sing and I'd always wanted to see them and I've become re-obsessed with them.

So we are not sad old bastards, Jeff. We're proper rock and roll fans. Well, this might be what

perhaps keeps like the acts like the Who and Eric Pridz relevant

is that because of the accessibility of music now, you know, you can stream it anywhere.

It's that they'll constantly be finding new audiences.

So, you know, Eric Prid's, there was a lot of people my age as well, but there was youngsters too.

And I say youngsters's it is younger music

in it eric but you're probably the top end of the prids no i would say not actually i would say that

i felt i went to park life festival earlier this year and i literally looked like i was there to pick

up somebody i mean not like not like that like give him a lift home you know like like

d'ta that's shit no we don't want to have that kind of chat given the year that

we've had with uh public personalities but um but yeah yeah but eric prids i would say i was in

the fucking median range mate it was uh cool it was reassuring But you must have been like a spring chicken at the Who.
