Marshall here. Welcome back to the Realignment. This is the fourth day of the

Realignment's daily coverage of the Ukraine crisis. Quick run of show. Wednesday I

had Nate Sibleon to talk about sanctions, the oligarchy, and what will and what

won't change Putin's regime. Thursday, Saganay did a discussion Q&A

episode. Finally on Friday, I had Dr. David Kukallin to talk about counterinsurgency

and Ukraine's long-term prospects. A question we've gotten a lot has been a degree

of discomfort around Mastercard, Visa, Facebook, now TikTok, all these different

companies joining the sanctions against Russia as part of the broader strategy of

economic punishment for the invasion of Ukraine. A lot of people will while

agreeing with the need to punish Russia to quote Nate Sibley limit their

ability to wage war, they're still a little uncomfortable with companies taking

these actions. They're not quite sure they can trust a company to be very fair

and accurate. And other people especially on the right worry that hey is this an

example of virtue signaling, cancel culture, deep platforming, someone on the left

would even then add to, oh I'm worried that companies are entering into the

foreign policy sphere. People would hate different perspectives on those. But

overall I wanted to do an episode directly on this topic. So I decided to bring

Brack a great guest of the show Alec Ross. He came on the show last September to

talk about his book The Raging 2020s, Companies, Countries, People and the

Fight for Our Future. The basic idea of the book is that as we're looking at
