As my eyes opened and I became conscious of the world around me,

I could hear the buzzing of a large fly, some muffled Vietnamese voices outside of my hooch

and a radio playing by me a ticket on an airplane.

This song quickly generated memories of my best friend Bob,

who had been killed on a mission a few weeks earlier.
