Welcome in everyone to this week's edition of the Deer Hunter podcast. Friday, May 28th, we're walking into Memorial Day weekend. Very special holiday weekend. In fact, obviously, kind of a bittersweet holiday, really, in my opinion. I know it's kind of the kickoff to everyone's summers,

and everyone's getting together for barbecues and celebrating the onset of summer.

That's somewhat what this holiday seems to have manifested into,

but I think it's important to recognize what this holiday is.

Obviously, we pay our homage and thank you to those that have

served and paid the ultimate sacrifice in the form of giving their life to defend the freedoms

of this country and the ideas that this country is founded on. So we want to say thank you to

any family members that have lost friends and loved ones

that have given their life to basically allow us to do what we have the opportunity to do here in this country.

I feel like that's a very important thing that people recognize.

Like I said, it's kind of a better sweet holiday weekend,

but I don't know that there's anything more important to respect, recognize,

and appreciate that a lot of heroes have paid that ultimate sacrifice so that we can

ultimately have freedom, live in a free country, and have the luxury of living the

highest quality of life that any people on this planet in any period of time ever had.

So huge thank you to all of those individuals and the families surrounding them.
