That's right.

We're talking about a man who tackled interracial marriage with Guess Who's Coming to Dinner.

Race relations with the Defiant On the Beach. Race relations with the defiant ones.

Nuclear war with on the beach.

The Holocaust with judgment at Nuremberg. The Scopes Monkey Trial and the division between church and state with Inherit the Wind.

And as a producer, famously tackled juvenile delinquency with the Wild One.

Famously.

And the scourge of piano playing with the 5,000 fingers of Dr. T.

Stanley Kramer is no one's favorite director.

But there's a good chance that a lot of people saw one of his movies, either

forced upon them in a school of classroom, or they stumble upon it on a Sunday afternoon on
