| 0:00.0 | Welcome to the Lord of the Rings lore cast, the show that explores the background of |
| 0:11.1 | Tolkien's amazing world from the very beginning. |
| 0:15.0 | As the world becomes darker, and this is something that is hit on time and time again in this part of the Fellowship of the Ring, this idea that the world outside the shire is becoming dangerous. |
| 0:40.0 | Things are getting worse. |
| 0:41.5 | And even the hobbits, even the most reclusive hobbits, are hearing rumors of things. |
| 0:47.5 | The world is changing. |
| 0:49.4 | And they can feel it in this little pocket of the world where it seems like they never are really in any real |

| 1:35.2 | are around an individual revealing information and knowledge that other people don't want to |
| 1:41.7 | believe is true. And we're about to see this play out twice, between Sam and Ted Sandeman, and then also between |
| 1:48.6 | Frodo and Gandalf. |
| 1:50.5 | And in the first conversation, Sam is trying to tell Ted that there are things going on out |
| 1:56.2 | there and there are dark tidings of bad things that could affect the shire, and yet Ted doesn't |
| 2:02.8 | want to admit that this is true at all. |
| 2:05.8 | And the other conversation is between Gandalf returning to Frodo after being gone for |
| 2:11.1 | a significant period of time and revealing to him that the ring that was given to him by |
