| 0:00.0 | Welcome back to the PFF NFL show. |
| 0:22.1 | Trevor Sikkim, Dalton, Washington, |
| 0:23.2 | here with you guys for the final time in the regular season. |
| 0:27.2 | Because it's week 18, baby. |
| 0:29.5 | Dalton, we got a lot of things to talk about here. |
| 0:31.3 | There's plenty of games to be had. |
| 0:32.9 | Not all of them have playoff implications, |
| 0:35.1 | but some of them have seeding implications. Some of them have NFL draft implications. And the most important part is, I'm six games behind you in the standing right now. And I got to cut into that lead before we get to the playoffs. So how you doing, my friend? We're good. Trev, don't forget. It's also the very last show of 2025. So happy new year to everybody out there. And you're right. It's good to have week 18 with at least a handful of games that do matter, particularly with two playoff spots in the AFC North and the NFC South. It's going to be a lot of fun, especially on Saturday and Sunday night. Yeah, it very much is. I think that it's, you'll get into this in a second with the Buccaneers, |
| 1:12.8 | but we've got the Saturday games, |
| 1:14.7 | obviously. and Sunday night. Yeah, it very much is. I think that it's, you know, we'll get into this in a second with the Buccaneers, but we've got the Saturday games, obviously the only show in town, if you will, with a couple of these games being on prime time there. But just because these games are being played on that Saturday does not even mean that the result that we see there means that we know what will happen in the playoffs, which is, I think, a really good way to start this show as we get into this preview for the Buccaneers and the Panthers. Oh, before we get into that, though, I do want to say, Holiday 30. You mentioned that it's that, you know, we're coming up on the year end in here in 2025. There's not much time left for you guys to take advantage of this sale that we've been doing here at PFF to get a PFF plus subscription. Holiday 30 is that promo code to still get you 30% off. So if you haven't taken advantage of it yet, you need to. This is something that you will use all year long. It's not just the things that we talk about here on this show. So much of the offseason stuff as well. |
| 2:01.2 | The free agency tools, the draft tools, all that great stuff. And then, of course, like when we get into the summer, the fantasy football tools. And of course, you know, during the regular season, we've got the player prop tool, help you with some of your bets while these games are going on. I mean, shoot, we'll help you with some of your bets throughout the playoffs as well. All that to say, get yourself a PFF plus sub if you don't have one already and get 30% off using that promo code, Holiday 30. |
| 2:21.8 | That first game on Saturday decides, sort of, the NFC South between the Panthers and the Buccaneers. |
| 2:30.6 | A couple of weeks ago, two weeks ago, to be exact, the Panthers took down the Buccaneers in a game where if the Bucks would have won that game, would have had the NFC South right there. They would have had the division. It would have been all good. But Carolina wins that game. They win that game in Carolina. They weren't able to seal the deal this past week because they weren't able to beat the Seattle Seahawks., the Buccaneers, though, were not able to beat the Miami Dolphins either. |
| 2:53.6 | So it is mostly a winner take-all, although there is some stipulations of that because the Falcons |
| 3:00.0 | defeated the Los Angeles Rams on Monday night football this past week. |
| 3:03.5 | If the Falcons happened to win on Sunday at 1 o'clock, which we'll get to that game preview in a little bit. And the Buccaneers beat the Panthers, the Panthers still get in because it's a three-way tie that would change the tie breaker and the Panthers would actually get in. So if the Panthers lose this game, there is still hope for them to win the division to make the playoffs. And even if the Bucks win, it's not a 100% guarantee that they are going to win this division. |
| 3:38.7 | But for the most part, it does feel like that this game holds the most cards for the NFC South. So as we often do, we'll preview both sides of the ball here. Dalton, do you want to start with the Carolina Panther side of things? or do you want to start with the Buccaneers side? |
| 3:39.9 | I'll take the Carolina side. |
| 3:42.0 | And as always, when we talk about this team, |
| 3:43.6 | we talk about Bryce Young, man. |
| 3:42.7 | Look, the run game has been a constant. The offensive line's been a constant. The defense has been up and down as well, but Bryce Young really is the biggest variable in whether they succeed or fail in any given week. And they've been alternating wins and losses since week seven. It's really his inconsistency that is the biggest part of that. |
| 3:59.5 | Now, the biggest key to the Panthers offense, whether they do it on early downs like we talked about in week 16 and they did. They got aggressive on first down in that game or they do it on third and fourth down. Bryce Young's got to be able to throw the football down the field. We've talked about this a ton this season. In the Panthers eight wins this |
