Summary
Throughout the years, even if the Seahawks have needed a quarterback or not, we like to go through the latest crop of NFL quarterback candidates and pick out our favorites. Adam's track record has been solid and rather than bury it in one of our flagship episodes, we're giving it it's own series. In part, because of the amount of depth in this year's 2024 class. We talk about the methodology for evaluating a quarterback, a couple of quarterbacks who may go late or undrafted, and where some of the other QBs may fit. This group fell outside of the Top 7 quarterbacks we'll be talking about on future episodes.

| 0:00.0 | Hello and welcome to the Seahawkers podcast. |
| 0:09.5 | I'm your host, Brandon Schultz, and I am joined by our resident quarterback draft savant, |
| 0:16.3 | Adam Emmerts, because Adam, over the years, we do the show and inevitably we we talk quarterbacks |
| 0:23.4 | and i've noticed over the years you've got a pretty good hit rate of guys that you like and |
| 0:29.5 | don't like and we don't have to get into the ones that you've missed and whatnot but it's like hey uh |
| 0:35.2 | it's draft season who knows if the seahawks are going to take a quarterback, but why not put this out there and see how you do? And go, because I think how we've done it in the past, it's kind of been, you know, just kind of crammed into an episode. Let's give it its own time. How are you doing, buddy? Good, man. I'm not going to lie. |
| 0:54.2 | I'm a little nervous about this one. Because just cramming it into an episode is one thing, like coming out and being like, these are the quarterbacks that are going to do well. These ones stink. Like that, that feels like a good way to set up the fall for sure. Look, you and Clinton kind of conjoled me into this. and I'm fine with it. |
| 1:12.1 | We're going to go through it. |
| 1:14.0 | It's interesting to do. for sure. Look, you and Clinton kind of conjoled me into this and I'm fine with it. We're going to go |
| 1:12.9 | through it. It's interesting to do it this year because this is maybe the most interesting of all |
| 1:19.6 | the years since I kind of started breaking it down. What would have been like 14, 15 somewhere in |
| 1:24.9 | there is when we kind of started doing it. |
| 1:30.0 | So, yeah, we'll see how this goes. |
| 1:32.0 | But I don't know, man. |
| 1:34.1 | I feel like I do it a little different than other folks. |
| 1:41.6 | I feel like you do have a unique look at it because just judging by the way things have worked out and talking to you, you always put guys in the box of can't play or is going to be like a legit NFL quarterback. |
| 1:52.4 | And then guys that are kind of, you know, you have your question marks around. |
| 1:57.0 | And I don't think people generally look at that way. |
| 2:00.9 | A lot of times it's, well, this guy, it's all about potential. |
| 2:05.7 | And every guy has a ceiling, I suppose. |
| 2:08.6 | And it's just that guys like the traylances of the world, you know, they, they have a low floor and a high ceiling and |
| 2:21.9 | really trying to fit where that the most likely outcome would be is kind of difficult. |
