America. We're recording this obviously before election day on Sunday, but if you're listening to

this on Wednesday, then hopefully it ages well. Election day is over. Maybe we have results. Maybe we don't. We don't really know yet. But certainly by this point next week, we're going to have a new president-elect. That's insane. Yeah, the results will definitely be in by Sunday. I can't see any world where they don't come in by next Sunday. But shit's wicked. Yeah, there's no way that results take as long as they did in 2020. Yeah. Um,

I would guess sometime Wednesday or Tuesday, especially if it's a landslide, which Ann Selzer, we'll get there.

But, you know, this episode is a sort of retrospective.

We're going to be looking back and sort of talking about the broader trends that, um, worry us moving forward. But we'd be remiss if we didn't take this final opportunity, uh, post-hostomit. What's the word for like after somebody dies? I think it's post-obiously, I't say it, but what you said. It doesn't matter. Yeah.

We're going to take this opportunity for listeners of on Wednesday or later to, um, do one less ad series. Oh, got to. You know, just for good time's sake. Exactly. There was, there's one ad that's really, um, lit the media on fire this last week of the campaign. And we're not going to play it this time because it's mostly music.

make the ad the ad itself it's just it's just like a regular like good ad yeah yeah so

the camela harris campaign released an ad where it's like a husband and a wife going into

their polling location and they're decked out in maga gear and the husband's like you're going to make the right decision right and she says yeah and then they go in and she secretly votes for Kamala Harris gas because it's a secret ballot and you know there's like some implication there that she's like hiding it from her husband and then they leave and you ask did you make the right choice and she says of course and point of the ad is like, even if your husband is or anybody is pressuring you to vote for Trump, you can vote for

Harris because it's a secret ballot. Very, pretty innocent, I would say. The silent majority, if you

will. Yeah, well, the silent majority and I feel like a relationship dynamic that's probably

pretty common. You know, liberal women and their conservative boyfriends, yeah.

Especially in like suburban white America, you know what I'm saying?
