1:30.0	I'm going to dig deep into why everybody's going on strike, what it means to be in a union, and as always, facts, details, and a little bit of history in Los Angeles.

1:45.8	As 2023 began in Los Angeles, organized labor was celebrating a victory by the
1:59.7	graduate student workers who had been on strike for multiple weeks.
2:03.6	This was 48,000 graduate student workers in the University of California who had just ended
2:09.8	their strike after gaining some concessions, increased pay and things of that
2:14.1	nature and it seemed like it was clear sailing for workers in Los Angeles. Well
2:19.6	lo and behold what happened next was like stack of dominoes.
