Hey there, listeners, welcome to horror movie club, the show where two dudes who are not quite

nerds but not quite nobs, choose a horror movie each week to rate and review.

I'm Brian. I'm on the phone with Aschvan, and today we are doing something a little bit

different than we have done in the past. We've caught up on some 2023 horror that we haven't

reviewed on the podcast yet. So we're just going to have a loose discussion about a few of these

films very briefly without spoiling anything about any specific movie. And since spooky season

is already almost upon us, we thought maybe we'd just let you know what movies from this year

that are out there and available to watch on VOD or streaming that we recommend checking out.

So if you're making a Halloween or Spooky Season watch list, we'll let you know if there's any worth

tacking on to that list. And at at the end i think maybe we'll list them

all again in case you want to write them down or add them do a letterbox watch list or something and

maybe i'll put the timestamp when we do that in the description of the episode or maybe i'll just

list them all in the episode description something like that we'll we'll see what happens and b And Brian you mentioned this is going to be spoiler-free.

Spoiler-free. We'll just, we'll give, you know, like a sentence or two about the plot of the

movie and tell you what we thought of it.

Yeah. And I know around this time of year, a lot more horror comes out, but I feel like

some of these movies that get released in the first eight or nine months of the year on VOD or streaming platforms can kind of get lost in the shuffle when it comes to top ten countdowns at the end of the year.

So I thought we'd tackle some of them now.

Does that go down like that, like similar to the Oscars where you have like a season of all the high quality movies coming out that get the buzz going right before Oscar season?

Do you feel like that also holds up for horror films?
