Good morning, everybody. Today is Monday, June 19th. Hopefully your Monday morning and work week is off to a

fantastic start. So far, fun weekend in the rear room year. Hope everybody got to enjoy U.S. Open

Golf, spring football, time with family, maybe friends on Father's Day. Always love these weekends in

June and into July as well as we get into the summer months. This morning, looking at a

first thoughts episode on the Seattle Seahawks, the first team in this series that hasn't gone

under significant change to coaching or coordinating positions. Everyone for Seattle, very much the same,

but this is going to be one of the most intriguing offenses in all of football in 2003, and is because of one man, Shane Waldron, the offensive coordinator,

back for his third season with the Seattle Seahawks. Let's talk about a couple of reasons

on why this offense is going to be so interesting, as well as one big problem that could potentially

be underlying here as everyone gets excited

about the Seahawks going into 2023.

First thing you need to know, last year, Seattle had their highest ever pass rate since

Russell Wilson came into the franchise, as well as their highest ever pace per play,

and their highest yards per play for the season. And it's funny to think that

you have this great quarterback in Russell Wilson there for so many seasons. You never achieved

those Gino Smith takes over, a guy everyone had written off, and all of a sudden Seattle puts

up these gaudy offensive numbers. The one thing that really stood out from what they did

last year specifically

was in the past game. No team other than Kansas City ran more multiple tight end pass

plays than the Seattle Seahawks. You go back and you look at highlights, you look at numbers.

Consistently, it was Gino Smith throwing out of formations that featured multiple tight ends.

He was extremely effective in doing so. He was extremely efficient. Use play action.
