Continuing on with the first thoughts podcast, looking today at the Buffalo Bills.

And if you follow the NFL, you're on Twitter, you're looking at any stats websites,

even if you play fantasy, you've probably heard about these numbered personnel groupings,

11 personnel, 12 personnel.

You've seen it, you've heard it. If you have it,

to explain what it means quickly. First number refers to the running backs that are on the field.

Second number refers to tight ends. So if it's 11 personnel, one running back, one tight end, you're going to have three wide receivers. If it's 12 personnel, one running back, two tight ends, you're going to have three wide receivers. If it's 12 personnel, one running back,

two tight ends, you're going to have two wide receivers. Brandon Bean of the Buffalo Bills

is calling his offense this year 11.5 personnel. So what in the world does 11.5 mean? Well, it means

you have one running back, and then you have half a tight end, who's also half a

wide receiver.

And that, of course, refers to Dalton Kincaid, who they drafted in the first round.

He is expected to be a versatile tight end that the league has not seen before, where he can

be a wide receiver, he can be a wide receiver, he can be a

tight end, he can be efficient in run blocking. Essentially is anyone who covers the Buffalo Bills,

by the way, anyone who covers the Buffalo Bills never exaggerates on anything, but he's being made

out to be this ultimate weapon that the Buffalo Bills are going to put into their
