Welcome to Rates and barrels. It's Thursday, February 17th, Pitcher Week, rages on episode three of this week as we move

through the 200 to 300 range overall talking about the pitchers that are drafted in that range

in NFBC drafts, looking at drafts that have happened over the past 15 days or so. This is a

group of pitchers where you start to find discounted injured guys, at least more of them.

You start to find some players on the rise that maybe have major innings concerns, even greater than some of the pitchers we talked about on the Wednesday episode.

So a fun group.

This is where sleepers tend to start coming from in a lot of instances.

And we kick it off today with an old boring guy.

Hingin Ryu, whose stuff appears to be breaking down despite the depth of his arsenal.

The projections don't really like him.

The market is beginning to sour on him.

Is there an old boring oatmeal pick to be made here, or are you also ready to sort of walk away from Ryu as that rotation

stabilizer that he used to be on a per inning basis? I don't know. The injuries are creeping up.

The injury projection is creeping up.

We have basically now, you know, since his first season in the big leagues,

we have one season with more than 175 innings.

I suppose he was healthy and look good in 2020 and that sort of makes you kind of think well you know maybe

maybe this is just a one-year blip I mean if you if you look past the

innings at least you've got a 269 a 232 ERA in 2019

you know 80 innings of a

197 ERA in 2018

and even
