I'm Carly Wazell and happy Hanukkah!

We are at this point a few nights in, but I'm recording this on the very first evening

of Hanukkah, which has been great so far.

As I shared on social media, I forced my husband to get me presents like a child.

Because I feel like I'm doing a lot of work growing a human and I deserve little treats.

So I got my first night gift tonight and it was an old vintage Disneyland ash tray, which

I plan on putting either jewelry in or little wrapped candies in.

And I'm so excited about it because it's so retro and it's a green glass.

It's so, so cool.

And I'm excited to see what the night's ahead holds.

Traditionally when you're younger, you know, every night for Hanukkah, you light a candle,

you say a little blasting, and then you get to rip open one of eight presents.

So I haven't done it in so, so, so long.

Because you know, for other holidays, specifically Christmas, usually, I think, as for what

I understand, typically you wake up Christmas morning and everyone in the family has gifts

under the tree regardless of age.

But for Hanukkah, for the most part, you're only getting eight gifts if you're young or

if like, you know, you're in school.

And so for me, I'm thrilled.
