| 1:25.0 | So today we thought it'd be fun over the last year. We've obviously interviewed some amazing guests and we've shared some of our favorite topics that we teach here at the Articharm in toolbox formats. |
| 1:35.0 | But as we wrap the year, we have learned quite a bit from our guests and we'd love to share with you a little bit of our personal journey over the last year and what we're looking forward to kicking off 2022 with. |
| 1:48.0 | So this is going to be a little peak behind the scenes, learn a little bit more about me, Michael and Johnny and what's going on in our lives and hopefully you'll get some value out of as well to think about what goals you have as you enter 2022. |
| 2:01.0 | So the first thought that I had and I thought it'd be fun for us to chat about is what was our favorite guest over the last year and maybe even a piece of advice that that gets shared that we applied in our life. |
| 2:13.0 | I know for myself, I do a lot of negotiating here at the Articharm, whether it's negotiating corporate contracts, government contracts or even in sales. Negotiation is one of those skill sets that I'm always working on. |
| 2:25.0 | And my favorite guest over this past year was actually Victoria Medvek, who shared with me some new strategies that I had never tried in negotiations. |
| 2:34.0 | And I remember during that podcast, I was diligently taking notes myself because we had a big negotiation coming up in a couple weeks. |
| 2:42.0 | And I was able to actually implement her strategy of having three options to negotiate from, which really allows you to frame the negotiation in a way that the other person feels like they have agency, like they're making a choice. |
| 2:56.0 | That's the best fit for them. But it actually allowed the negotiation to move a lot smoother and put us in the driver's seat, which I thought was just so fascinating after all the guests we've had over the last decade plus really talking about negotiations. |
| 3:10.0 | And I had totally H.A. I know that for me going into 2022 and also going through 2021, like a big theme of that was negotiation for me. |
| 3:23.0 | It was getting, as with all the chaos that 2020 seemed to be 2021 for me, was a time to organize things a little bit more and get my plans and deadlines and ambitions and everything straight and planned out. |
| 3:38.0 | So I think that there's a lot of time where I'm worth much more now than I used to be in 2015 when I started out doing workshops. |
