Yes, welcome back everybody. My name is Benedict Townsend, and this right here is the YouTube News podcast, or YouTube

and News the podcast.

And you may be noticing a certain bassiness in my voice today, a certain depth, a certain

respectability that I've been sorely lacking these last 10 to 12 years that I've been doing

this podcast.

And that's because I was out and about this weekend on a stag do. I don't know what

they call stagdos in America. Bachelor parties, that's what they call it. A good friend of

mine is getting married. So I went up to Newcastle, Newcastle for a stag do and had a lovely time,

but I am feeling a little bit worse for where today,

but powering through because there is nothing more important to me in this world,

then providing good podcast fun for you nice people.

And actually, when I was out and about on Saturday night in Newcastle,

a young lady came up to me and she said, oh my God, are you Benedict from YouTube news? And I said, I am indeed. And she said, oh, that's amazing. And I was very flattered. And she said, oh, man, I used to watch you on Snapchat. And I thought, okay. And I said, oh, why don't you watch the show anymore? And she said, oh, it stopped being funny. So, always nice to meet the

fans. Always good. That was good. Always nice to come away from a club at 2 a.m. feeling devastated.

Didn't need to stop and talk to her, but I'm glad that she went out of her way to flag me down and

give me that little punch in the gut. So, I mean, maybe she was joking. Obviously, I wouldn't know. I wouldn't know when it comes to being funny. Not my Ballywick. No, but jokes aside, if you ever do see me out in public, always feel free to come and say hi. If you're going to be nice about it, Steve?

I don't think the girl's name was Steve, but let's pretend it was.
