stories but as I laugh and joke with him I say today the

rabbit has the gun I got my good friend from political Mark Caputo joining us for

today's show it's it's one of those wonky good election, you know, we dig in the weeds on different demographics type of shows.

So I'm really glad that he joined us today, but before I get to our conversation, I wanted to talk about the Democratic

firing squad that's still raging around.

What else but defunding the police?

In case you missed it in an interview with Peter Hamby on Good Luck America, the president

created fires across Twitter, and let me just be clear, my president, 44, when he described Defund the

police as quote, snappy slogan, and people predictably lost their shit. So let's listen to

the president's entire quote not just what we want to hear on Twitter.

When you were a community organizer a lot of the folks in the community were dealing with

really just cared about modest change.

They wanted to do better for their families.

Again, if you're a young activist today and you believe really passionately in a slogan like Defund the Police

What is your advice to that activist also knowing that a lot of politicians won't go

near that phrase? It's interesting we take for granted if you want people to buy your sneakers that you're going to market it to your audience.

If a musician drops a record, there's going to try to reach certain audiences speaking to folks where they are.

It's no different in terms of ideas.

If you believe, as I do, that we should be able to reform the criminal justice system so that it's not biased

and treats everybody fairly. I guess you can use a snappy slogan like,
