Summary

There are some episodes where Steve and John laugh a lot and some episodes where they get into heated debates. There are even some episodes where they get so excited about the movie they are reviewing that they just can't contain themselves. Well, in part two of their exploration of Clint Eastwood's Million Dollar Baby, Steve is so moved that he is literally holding back tears for most of the episode.

And they wouldn't even be exploring this deeply moving and powerful film if it weren't for their partnership with Warner Brothers and their "Hollywood's Most Influential Filmmakers" series which premieres  9/15 at YouTube.com/WarnerBrosOnline, to produce this two part episode on one of Clint Eastwood's greatest films, the academy award winning "Million Dollar Baby.

So if you haven't seen this incredible film you can buy or stream it here.

Hi this is Steve. There are some great films like Die Hard, Jaws, Raiders of the Lost

0:05.7

Dark, and the Princess Bride that I could pretty much watch all the time. And there are other great films

0:11.2

like Lawrence of Arabia, Citizen Kane, and The Godfather that I absolutely love and have seen many, many times, but they take a little bit more out of me.

0:20.0

Then there are the tough films, films that are undeniably great like Schindler's List and Requiem for a Dream that I definitely admire, but frankly avoid because sometimes they're just too hard to watch. I first saw Clint Eastwood's

0:35.3

million-dollar baby in the movie theater when it came out and didn't watch it again

0:39.5

until a few weeks ago when I began prepping for the show. Now it's not that there aren't fun parts,

0:45.0

there are, a lot of them. In fact, it's the joy of the first two acts of the film that make the

0:50.4

third act so difficult. The relationship between Maggie and Frankie

0:55.0

had deep resonance for us and our discussion in part two

0:58.5

certainly reflects that.
