She completed her undergraduate degree at Baylor University

and earned her master's degree in communication disorders at the University of Texas at Dallas.

Emily currently works as the primary treating SLP in a level one trauma center.

Her areas of special interest are dysphagia, fees, and videotheroscopy, instruction and mentorship,
