This is episode 201 of the Swaleo Pride Podcast and today's guest is Dr. Meg Folsa.

She is a practicing SLP- turned anesthesiologist practicing at the University of Kansas Medical Center. Her current projects

include research to develop a new screening tool for obstructive

sleep apnea, research on post-operative cognitive dysfunction, research on

cardiac differences in patients who use marijuana and how that might impact health under anesthesia,

and collaborative work with the University of Kansas Biomedical Engineering Department to develop working prototypes for medical device ideas she has created.

Most recently, she is trying to come up with a feasible curriculum outline to present to her department in the Department of SLP and audiology to collaborate on teaching newer graduate students

how to perform nasal and oral endoscopy techniques or perfect them on anesthetized

patients preferably during EMT procedures. She's very excited to develop the collaborative program

and hope it has great reception.

So we are so excited to bring Mike back on.

We had her on.

Oh gosh, I'd have to look up what episode we had her on,

but it ended up being our most popular episode ever, which I just love hearing.
