Alabama has become the 37th state to allow same-sex marriage, which is rather remarkable

if you think about where we were just five years ago in terms of same-sex marriage.

I mean, now it's pretty much a done deal.

Just to give you a little history, a little refresher.

So there was a case two years ago, the Supreme Court case that came down in June of 2013,

that said that the Defense of Marriage Act is unconstitutional.

And that as a constitutional matter, you can't define marriages between being between,

sorry, one man and one woman.

Right around the same time, the homing's worth of parry case said that California's ban was

unconstitutional.

That was the proposition eight case.

That was in the news and in the court system for three or four years.

So since then, there's been like 37 different states that have overturned gay marriage

ban.

They've said that it's unconstitutional for a state to define marriages as being between

one man and one woman and everything was going fine.
