2012, no doubt about it, was a year for avenging.

It was all about the Avengers.

The Avengers at the box office as Marvel punches through

to take over Batman as the all-time comic book champ and lead the

MCU into a new era of dominance. And it wasn't just at the cinemas. It was in publishing.

Avengers, Avengers, Avengers. It was all Avengers all the time. Marvel made sure that this time around,

unlike with the X-Men in the year 2000,

the 2012 they were going to have as much Avengers material

as you could possibly desire to correspond

with the Avengers Monster Summer in 2012.
