| 1:14.0 | Tell us, give me a sense of what the situation is with this John Conier's Restore Act. |
| 1:24.0 | Well, as of course you know, in August, the Democratic Congress passed a bill under pressure from the Bush administration |
| 1:30.0 | that massively expanded the president's power to use drop without warrants on the conversations of American citizens. |
| 1:37.0 | And when they did that, Nancy Pelosi and other congressional Democrats promised that they would enact legislation when they returned from their break to fix what it is that they did. |
| 1:49.0 | The bill that they passed in August has a six-month sunset provision. |
| 1:52.0 | So if nothing happens, if a new bill does not pass, it just elapses after six months and the old bill, the old Pfizer bill, reverts back. |
| 2:02.0 | And today the House Democrats introduced a bill that was actually right there. |
