Nancy Pelosi gave a fabulous speech that I really urge every to watch on C-span tonight

if you didn't get to see it today.

It's all about 20-something minutes, but it packs so much interest and so much history

and pride that she obviously felt that, you know, as being the first woman speaker of

the house, but more so, you know, taking control of Congress for the first time in 12 long

horrible years.

So I mean the historical part and the respect that she pays to bipartisanship and the respect

that she pays to a boner, and she says she accepts the gavel on the spirit of bipartisanship

blah, blah, blah, blah, when has to refuse, refused as the outgoing speaker of the house

to give the incoming speaker of the house, the gavel, which is, you know, it's ceremonial,

it's not law or anything, but it is, it would have shown the spirit with which the Republicans

now approach being in the minority.

And that spirit is, we hate you, we won't be seen with you, we're not going to give you

the, you know, it was just, it was heinous, it was ugly, it was nasty, it was, it was,

you know, sore loser, sour grapes kind of Republican crap.

So if there was ever any doubt who they are and how they are, let today speak for itself

and she was graceful in that moment.

But I'll skip past the beginning and I'll, her speech sort of had two parts to it.

It had the, you know, the most amazing historical remembrance of everything that, you know, women
