Welcome back to Issues et cetera. I'm Todd Wilkin. Joining us to talk about the failures of

scientism, Jay Sonstrom. He's a member of our Savior's Way Lutheran Church in Ashburn, Virginia.

He's a physicist and optical engineer. He spent his career as an experimental scientist

for the United States Army's Night Vision Lab, and he's author the new book, Loving Science,

but not the Empire. How real science reveals a creator, but the establishment keeps us in the dark.

Jay, describe the scientific establishment that you have dubbed the Empire.

I was having a conversation with somebody trying to explain what I see as an establishment

that kind of controls scientific flow of information. It's just kind of a little bit

injection of humor, but to call it the Empire. In my book, I relate that to kind of the Star Wars

saga and try that a little bit of humor to the book and the analogies to help people understand
