When I interviewed BTK, it was really shocking. He revealed to me secrets about what went on inside this month.

They began to develop fantasies about binding women.

And the BTK killer takes his name from the initials for bind, torture and kill.

That was the name that he actually gave himself. Who wants to be known by that? But he did.

Quersive control is at the heart of domestic abuse. Domestic abuse is all about parent control, but

Quersive control is specifically a range of behaviors or a pattern of acts that one uses on another,

that where they try and exploit or dominate or deprive someone of their most basic rights and needs.

So sometimes it can be exploiting their vulnerabilities. Other times it can be, for example,

pseudo-cairing behavior, where someone looks like they're attentive and caring and looking after someone,

but actually they're exploiting them or they're looking to store up information or they're creating co-dependence.

And that co-dependence is an important thing to understand. When we understand Quersive control,

it's really about up to domination.

And so the behaviors can be very different because it depends on the victim.

It's very idiosyncratic to them and Taylor Maid is a plan to target them.
