Hello everybody. My name is Oliver G. This is the Earful Tile podcast and today I want to introduce you to

Sarah Turnbull, who is an Australian author. She wrote a book. I'm sure you've read or maybe you've at least

heard of, almost French. Now this book came out 20 years ago. I remember reading it when it came out

and it's sticking in my head. Who knows? Maybe it planted the seed that would eventually lead me to Paris myself.

And then I reread it when I moved to Paris and ended up living in almost the exact same block

in the center of the second hour in Desmond that Sarah lived in her book.

Now, I met with her in Sydney fairly recently

and we chatted. The idea was to chat about what you miss when you leave Paris for good, but it became

kind of typical for Earful Tower episodes. It became a sprawling conversation about all things Paris,

Rue Montague, the whole concept of

Paris being a city of contrasts, we talked about repatriation, we even talked about her new book,

which I understand, this might be the first you're going to hear of this new book from any channel

anywhere in the world.

It's about, gosh, I shouldn't give away too much.

This is probably one of the most unique Earful Tower podcast episodes I've recorded.
