So let's get to it. Absolutely. Yeah. No, this is a passion project for both of us. We've actually been both interested in the paranormal and some of these darker rhymes and serial killers for a very long time. So we're very excited to team up on this podcast and bring you some of the best things that you can do.

So I'm sure you're one of the craziest stories you'll probably ever hear in disturbing detail sometimes but before I get into the episode which is called the devil made me do it. I wanted to mention that we will be releasing new episodes of the show every Friday on all platforms wherever you can find podcasts. We will be there as well as a video version of the podcast which we record here in the studio to YouTube every Friday as well. let's get into the devil made me do it. Our story begins in July 1980. The youngest of the three glatzo boys was planning to help his only sister 25 year old Debbie and her boyfriend 19 year old Arnie Cheyenne Johnson move into their new rental house in Newtown Connecticut. Arnie and Debbie were planning to move in along with Arnie's mother Judy and his three younger sisters Janice Wanda and Mary.

The house was only a few minutes drive from Debbie's family's home in the Brookfield Connecticut. The couple wanted a change of scenery from the crime ridden streets of Bridgeport Connecticut. So the quiet woodsie town of Newtown seemed the perfect place. Newtown is a historic place dating back to the 1700s and contains many gothic churches and weather graveyards that have stood the test of time these monuments stand for belief in the higher good.

But wherever there is good there is also an ancient evil that can be found lurking in the shadows. It's always interesting to me that many of these paranormal cases can be traced back to the new England area where early civilization in America started and it makes you wonder why there's so much haunted activity there Debbie's parents Judy and Carl Gladsel were hesitant about the move because of Arnie and Debbie's financial situation. Debbie was a dog groomer at Brookfield pet motel and Arnie worked as a tree surgeon at right tree service.

Carl and Judy nevertheless gave their support and even a few hundred dollars to help get their new life started by all indications the Gladsel family appeared to be a normal loving family with parents that had their children's best interests in mind. On July 2nd the Gladsel family as well as Arnie and Debbie went to the rental house to clean up the place before Debbie and Arnie moved in for whatever reason. There was one room that still had furniture in it. The master bedroom still had a large can of peed water bed in the center of it.

Which made it difficult to clean the room. The prior tenant told them that they would be dismantling it and moving it very soon and the Gladsel brothers saw this as an opportunity to have some fun and began jumping on the bed as you would expect young boys to do.

A while they're jumping on the bed all of a sudden the bedroom door mysteriously slammed shut on its own walking the boys inside. The young boys start freaking out and begin frantically trying to get the door open but it wouldn't budge.

Finally after many attempts they were able to pry the door open. The boys were a bit shaken up by it but they decided to put the incident behind them and they continued to help their sister and Arnie was sweeping and cleaning a short while later while they were cleaning around the bed.

David was startled when he was confronted by what he later described as an old man who was wearing a dirty plaid shirt with patchy holes in it.

The old man pointed at him and said beware and then proceeded to shove David onto the bed. Then as quickly as the old man appeared he then vanished into thin air as David rolled off of the bed terrified.

David runs out of the house and tears and refuses to return for the remainder of the day later that night.

Back at the Glad Soul Family House David tells his brothers about the old man he has seen and that this old man is real and that he could still see him even when his eyes were closed.

But now the old man appeared to him like a beast with deep black eyes like bottomless pits, a razor thin face with animal features including jagged, rotten teeth, pointed ears, devilish horns and hooves.

Holy shit, I can't even imagine being in this situation and seeing an old man for one just appear out of nowhere in front of me but then to have them disappear and then only to reappear as this demonic beast.

Yeah, the absolute and what's even more shocking for me is that this being their first encounter with the old man and how they already got physical like the old man already pushed them and all that, that's just mind blowing.

Oh, I know that's probably the most alarming thing is that this entity already is physically assaulting David.

Whatever this devilish beast was started threatening David telling him that he would inflict endless pain on anyone that moved into the rental house.

So that night the Glad Soul Family left and they left their sheep dog George back at the rental house in Newton when the family returned the next day.

They found their dog George terrified and when they looked around to see what he might have been terrified of.

They saw that he had frantically clawed at the basement door to escape the presence of something the dog encountered during the night.
