I'd like to share with you today two ways to ground yourself when you don't feel steady.

And by steadiness, I mean that feeling that we have when life kind of feels a bit out of control.

Maybe you receive some unwanted news, something surprised you, something shocked you,

and you just, you don't feel like yourself, you almost feel out of your body somehow. You're massively anxious, maybe your future

tripping, maybe your thoughts are just racing and you notice your breathing is shallow.

I think we've all been there, this is when our nervous system isn't stable right it's

when our sympathetic nervous system is activated it's almost as if we're facing a physical threat, but more often than not in day-to-day life, it's just something that's happened. Maybe it's a comment someone made or an email that you received or something that you see on social media. So here are two simple things that you can do, right, privately anywhere, they're simple, they're easy, they're free, and they can ground you in the moment because in those moments we're not really in our body.

We're almost outside of ourselves, caught up lost in a whirlwind, right? We know that place. So these two simple things can help.

The first is supporting yourself with soothing sounds.

Right, so lately I've been blasting just a lot of Eckhart-Tole videos on YouTube

because he's very slow in how he speaks, he's very conscious,

he's in the present moment, and I will just love to blast a YouTube video even in the background.

I notice it just helps me relax.

It's almost like he co-regulates with me.

Like even just being in his presence, if I had a YouTube video, however long or however old it is or how long ago it was recorded, doesn't matter.
