Chad, we left David in a spot where he's anointed king over Judah. Got some tension because a military leader has named one of

Saul's kids king and there's a little bit of conflict. We saw some war games go sideways and result in some bloodshed and we sort of left left in this sort of ominous place where it just says that David and Saul's son are fighting with each other at least their their followers are fighting with each other all the time

Meanwhile where that's going on David's just having lots of kids from lots of different women and we mentioned how this is setting up a problem for succession later.

Yeah, we kind of left off. David's been wife collecting.

Yeah, it's like his guys are out there fighting with Saul's guys and he's just having kids. Like you know what you know what I need? Another wife.

Yeah I had one that I had two that I had three and by the time you get to

second Samuel three verse five we find out hey he actually got six so far and he's missing one

which will actually McCall which we've heard about before that that's the daughter of Saul, and he's going to get her back in this particular chapter.

And that's going to actually kind of foreshadow some bigger problems down the road.
