Chad, we're in 2nd Samuel, Chapter 2.

David has gotten word that Saul and Jonathan have died.

We went through last week his lament over that,

and then after that lament was over he had to ask the Lord

where he should go the Lord sent him to a town and there he was anointed not

king over all of Israel but he's king over Judah so he's got one jewel in his crown he's looking for 11

more and we're coming up upon the the first of David's wise political moves

as the newly anointed king.

Yeah, you gotta give it to David.

I mean, I'm not in any way doubting the sincerity of his motives in doing what he does.

I mean, there's a lot of times when David does something which seems to be because he actually cares about people.

At the same time he does often combine what he does with some pretty savvy political moves as well and we see instance of that in

2th Samuel chapter 2 verses 4 through 7 well yeah two things can be true at once right so you could be
