Some of the best things that we can do are simple, like being kind. Our teaching today illustrates what it means to be kind. Our teaching today illustrates what it means to be kind and it also illustrates some

interesting results that can come from being kind.

Our teaching is from 2nd Samuel chapter 10 and is the continuing story of David.

Let's now join Pastor John and learn about kindness.

2nd Samuel, chapter 10, and it came to pass after this, that the king of the children of Ammon died.

And Hainan, his son, reined in his stead.

Then said David,

I will show kindness unto Hainan, the son of Nahash, as his father showed kindness to me.

So David sent to comfort him by the hand of his servants for his father, his father's passing away.

And David's servants came into the land of the children of Ammon, or what we would call Jordan today.

Hey, David is doing something really nice and very kind.

He declares that day in verse 2,

I will show kindness unto Hainan, the son of Nahash, this new king of that other land over on the other
