Hello my friends welcome back to Unchaken I'm here at Halverson and I've got a quick update for you

some have been wondering what's taking so long and making the transition to the collaboration

that Faith Matters and I are working on well the Faith Matters team is still working on the space and I'm

still working on shortening these lessons as you've all been able to tell. It's a

it's a battle between my head and my heart and I'm having a hard time

proving these contraries. My head keeps telling me you

have to shorten these for your own sanity sake. You don't have time to do this. It's been

years since you have, but I've been pushing through. This semester's been crazy trying to balance everything and juggle things.

It's going to be a great relief, honestly, to be able to do shorter lessons. That's my head. But my heart is saying you've got to give them more than a quick summary.

There is so much material here that we haven't gone verse by verse in and even with the amount of

water scheme that we're doing there's still so much material that I just I feel constrained to make sure that we understand. My fear is that

scripture that we don't understand is scripture that we don't appreciate.

And if we don't appreciate it then we won't, it won't have the converting persuasive power,

like an Eifai said about Isaiah.

It won't be able to persuade us to come into the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.

If we don't understand that this invitation is extended to us all

and these scriptural writers are pleading with us

to understand what they are trying to convey.

If it took so much effort on their part to engrave on these metal plates,

the least we can do is give similar effort

in coaxing their meaning off the pages before us. So today is 2nd
