We are so excited to be joining you for your Come Follow Me as we study Second Nephi.

We're in chapters 20 to 25 today.

So we have four short chapters in Isaiah, and then a very long chapter on Nephi's commentary, on what just said and why he said it and what it means to him.

It's a fabulous little group of scriptures.

And I absolutely think that you will come away with a greater love not only of Nephi but also of Isaiah from today's looking at these chapters.

People for centuries have tried to understand Isaiah. It's kind of mystifying to most, and I think that actually

people had grown weary of trying to understand Isaiah by the time of Joseph Smith in the

19th century. We don't see a lot of Isaiah

commentary. They're more New Testament focused in the 19th century Americana. And so it's really

amazing. It's miraculous and inspiring that we have Nephi, who after all knew Jerusalem. He knew

what he was talking about. And he can interpret and read this for us.

Nephi is the best guide I can ever imagine for understanding Isaiah. So, except for you, Lynn.

Remember, he's a prophet when the northern tribes are taken captive.
