0:00.0	So this week in the Come Follow Me curriculum, we're going to be studying Second Nephi
0:04.8	chapters 1 through 5. This is the very end of Lehigh's life where he's now presenting the final
0:11.5	blessings, final exhortations to all of his posterity. He opens it up in chapter 1, speaking
0:18.8	with his sons, Lehman and Lemuel, and their children. He
0:24.2	also includes in their Sam and even Zoram. It's interesting that Nephi doesn't give us the
0:31.4	final blessing or the final exhortation from Lehi to himself. He gives us everybody else's blessing,
0:38.3	but he leaves his own out. It's also interesting to note that when Lehi dies in chapter
0:44.2	four, that event launches Nephi into probably one of the lowest points of his whole life,
0:53.2	where he opens up his heart to us,
0:56.1	the reader, and lets us know how difficult that was for him in what we traditionally call
1:02.5	Nephi's Psalm in the second half of Second Nephi chapter 4. So you can pay close attention
1:09.0	to the process that Nephi goes through
1:12.0	in how to overcome those feelings of being completely overwhelmed, knowing now he's the prophet,
1:18.9	dad's gone, and those feelings of inadequacy and unworthiness, and then it's fascinating to
1:25.2	watch the process of how he comes out of that, of that deep
1:31.2	struggle that he's wrestling with. I want to focus on Second Nephi chapter 2, which happens
1:38.9	to be Lehi's exhortations and teachings to his firstborn in the wilderness, Jacob, who is going to be one
1:48.0	of the greatest doctrinaires in the scripture later on, giving us some incredible insight
1:56.0	into the atonement of Jesus Christ and pride and the role of men and women later on as
2:03.6	he becomes the prophet after Nephi. So here's this young boy. He's not married yet in
2:10.1	chapter 2 right before Lehii dies. And it's fascinating if you look carefully at chapter 2,
2:16.0	how it opens. He addresses him. He tells
