On March 31, 1990, Steven Marfield contacted the Johnston Police Department and reported

his wife, Doreen, missing.

Steven told officers that he hadn't seen Doreen since March 29, two days earlier.

As the investigation unfolded, detectives concluded that Doreen was most likely murdered.

But they never found Doreen's body and subsequently no one was ever charged in her disappearance.

It's been 35 years since Doreen went missing and her case is still open.

So this is an interesting case this week and the reason I was drawn to it is as you will

notice, it takes place in Johnston, Rhode Island, which for those of you who don't know, I am

from Rhode Island.

So, small state, we don't have a ton of murder here.

So it's always interesting to see or hear about a case that's from your hometown and

you start to hear about certain streets or areas that are mentioned and you're familiar

with them.

You've been there numerous times.

So it adds another layer to the case.
